54 African countries came to Istanbul for trade
The Export Gateway to Africa Fair, the first international trade platform for the African continent, was held at the Istanbul Expo Center. Fifty-four African countries, with whom developed countries are striving to establish trade relations, chose Türkiye to establish new trade channels.
Africa, one of the world's richest geographies, is seen by developed countries as a future market for its wealth of underground and surface resources. These countries, focusing on Africa's 54 countries, have sought to open new and effective trade opportunities for the continent.

While many countries, often described as a bottomless pit by exporters, are seeking ways to establish trade relations with Africa, Turkey established significant ties with the continent approximately two years ago. This trade relationship, established by CNR Holding, was brought to life through the Export Gateway to Africa Fair.
Türkiye's leading sectors exhibited their products
CNR, taking a significant step in trade between Turkey and Africa, brought together decision-makers from nearly every sector in 54 African countries at Export Gateway to Africa. Held at the Istanbul Expo Center, the fair laid the groundwork for business agreements between participating companies and public and private sector buyers from Africa. The fair, which saw an intensive B2B bilateral business meetings, lasted three days.

Companies operating in Turkey's leading sectors such as footwear, furniture, home textiles, construction, boat manufacturing, ready-made clothing, ceramics, electricity and food exhibited their products at the Export Gateway to Africa Fair, organized with the cooperation of the Pan-African Federation and the support of the Assocalzaturifici (Italian Shoe Association) and the Federation of Indian Export Organization (Indian Exporters' Federation).
Along with domestic brands, numerous foreign companies also met with African purchasing delegations at the fair. Italy had 32 country pavilions, Ukraine 10, and India 35. Ninety-six companies from numerous countries, including Belarus, Senegal, Cameroon, Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates, and Algeria, met with African trade representatives.
